Works under minimal supervision to provide responsible technical assistance in performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of science.Specific Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities include maintaining a mouse colony (handling, breeding and collecting tissue samples for genotyping as well as maintaining computer databases and records of mice), assisting in ongoing animal studies, and performing basic molecular biology techniques.Job Duties:
- Participating in an ongoing research project in the laboratory through performing routine scientific research in molecular biology, physiology, metabolism, and other related fields.
- Set-up mouse breeding programs, mouse genotyping, and maintenance of mouse colony.
- General maintenance of the lab.
- Collecting and recording detailed research data
