Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field/Lab Technician to join our team and support construction materials testing and quality assurance efforts. In this dynamic role, you will perform on-site inspections and laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, and masonry to ensure compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will help maintain high-quality construction projects by collecting accurate data, conducting analyses, and communicating findings effectively. Responsibilities Conduct field inspections and laboratory tests on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, soil, and masonry to verify quality and compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards Collect and document data related to material properties, strength, consistency, and other critical parameters using standardized procedures Perform construction site inspections to monitor material placement, forming, and finishing processes in accordance with project specifications Assist in quality control processes by inspecting construction materials during production and installation phases Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings clearly to project managers and clients Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and inspection reports in compliance with industry standards Support technical proficiency by staying current with evolving standards such as ASTM standards for construction materials testing Requirements Proven laboratory experience in construction materials testing or related fields Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite for report writing and data analysis Knowledge of concrete, asphalt, soil testing methods, and masonry inspection techniques Understanding of industry standards including ASTM, AASHTO, American Concrete Institute (ACI), and related protocols Construction site experience with a focus on inspection, quality control, or materials testing activities Basic math skills for data collection, calculations, and analysis tasks Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent analysis skills for interpreting test results accurately Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Technical proficiency in construction inspection procedures and familiarity with contracts is a plus Join our team as a Field/Lab Technician if you're passionate about ensuring the highest quality standards in construction projects.
