Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Laboratory Technician to support research activities involving laboratory animals. The successful candidate will assist with animal care, laboratory procedures, data collection, and compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of animal welfare and laboratory practice. Key Responsibilities Provide daily care and monitoring of laboratory animals, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and health observations. Perform routine animal handling, restraint, identification, and sample collection as directed. Assist with laboratory experiments involving rodents or other research animals under approved protocols. Prepare laboratory equipment, reagents, and materials for research studies. Collect, record, and maintain accurate experimental data and laboratory records. Maintain animal housing areas, laboratories, and equipment in a clean and organized condition. Monitor animal health and promptly report abnormalities to the veterinary or research team. Administer treatments, medications, or injections under supervision and in accordance with approved protocols. Ensure compliance with institutional animal care guidelines, biosafety procedures, and ethical standards. Assist in inventory management, ordering laboratory supplies, and maintaining equipment. Support necropsy and tissue collection procedures when required. Participate in laboratory quality assurance and continuous improvement activities. QualificationsRequired Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Life Sciences, or a related field. Experience handling laboratory animals is preferred. Knowledge of laboratory techniques and good laboratory practices (GLP). Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). Preferred Experience with rodent handling and animal husbandry. Familiarity with animal research regulations and ethical guidelines. Experience in sample collection, injections, dosing, or surgical assistance. Knowledge of biosafety and laboratory safety procedures. Pay:
