Job Description

  • The Stepping Stones Group

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • for a contracted, school-based placement in
  • Eureka, CA
  • for the
  • 26/27 school year
  • ! This is a
  • full-time
  • private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services. Working with The Stepping Stones Group means consistent pay, clinical backing from experienced nurses, and support from a team that understands school-based nursing - not just staffing.
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Active LVN License in California
  • Current
BLS CPR/AED
certification
  • Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Vent management
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LVN scope of practice
  • School-based experience highly preferred
  • WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
  • Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans
  • Provide first aid and medication administration
  • Document care and communicate with school teams
  • Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned
  • Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family
