Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role providing dedicated care as an LPN/LVN for a medically fragile child in a school setting near Broomfield, CO. This contract opportunity spans the full academic year (180 days) and extends through June (Monday-Thursday), offering a consistent and meaningful experience working one-on-one with a student who requires specialized nursing support. Your clinical expertise will make a lasting impact, fostering a safe and nurturing environment that supports the child's access to education.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current, active LPN or LVN license Demonstrated reliability and a strong sense of responsibility Prior experience caring for medically fragile children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting Proficient with G-Tube care, oxygen administration, and oral suctioning Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with educators, families, and healthcare providers Genuine compassion and commitment to providing patient-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver daily nursing care to meet the specific medical needs of a student within a school environment Monitor and document student's health status and respond to changes promptly Administer and manage G-Tube feedings, oxygen, and airway suctioning as needed Communicate health information, concerns, and progress with school staff and student's family Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans Maintain a safe environment and provide health education when appropriate This is an excellent chance to make a real difference for a child who relies on attentive, skillful nursing support throughout the school day.
