at State of Delaware in New Castle, Delaware, United States Job Description The LPN, a Licensed Practical Nurse, is sometimes referred to as a vocational nurse. LPNs provide direct care to their patients. They are responsible in providing for the daily basic needs of patients, including administering medication and treatments, and maintain close communication with their supervisors, the Registered Nurses. If patients have minor wounds, LPNs perform wound cleaning and dressing changes.
