Wellstar Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in our integrated healthcare setting. The LPN will provide direct bedside care, administer medications, perform treatments, monitor patient status, and accurately document in the medical record. Working within a multidisciplinary team, this role supports RNs and providers with assessments, procedures, care coordination, and patient education. The LPN upholds safety, infection control, and regulatory standards while contributing to continuous improvement, cultural sensitivity, and an excellent patient and family experience across our Georgia facilities. Responsibilities Provide direct bedside nursing care to patients across assigned units Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and protocols Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition to the RN and provider Support assessments, procedures, and care coordination within the care team Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times Collaborate with RNs, providers, and allied staff to optimize patient outcomes Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes Contribute to quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and team initiatives Required Skills Medication administration Vital signs monitoring Wound care and dressings IV therapy (where permitted by scope) Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Basic life support (BLS) Infection control practices Specimen collection and handling Patient triage and basic assessment
