  • 1 day off Monday-Friday 7:30AM-5:00PM
  • 4 days/week
  • 1 day off We are seeking a compassionate clinical professional to join our team.
This position is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) , Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) , or Registered Nurses (RN) . Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care including assessments, education, and triage in an OB/GYN setting. Support providers with in-office procedures (e.g., colposcopies, IUD insertions, biopsies). Administer medications and injections, including vaccines and hormone therapies, as prescribed. Assist with prenatal care, postpartum follow-ups, and routine gynecologic visits. Educate patients about reproductive health, pregnancy, contraception, and preventive care. Triage patient phone calls and messages, assessing urgency and coordinating appropriate follow-up. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with front desk and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling. Participate in ongoing staff education, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings.
Qualifications:
Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Active/Unencumbered RN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice.
OR Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required: National Healthcare Association American Association of Medical Assistants National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant National Association of Health Professionals American Registry of Medical Assistants American Allied Health American Medical Technologists Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC is a plus! For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
