Wellness Nurse - LPN We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, cheerful Wellness Nurse to join our team. We are a supportive living facility assisting individuals ages 22-64 with their goal to maintain independence. New grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

Daily documentation of dispensing controlled substances and narcotics to ascertain that they are properly administered, counted and documented properly. Personally receive or place calls to physicians and transcribe all physician's orders. Empathy while providing exceptional nursing care. Problem solving & customer service skills. Time Management skills to ensure all residents are provided the best level of care. Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, blood sugar, etc, as needed. Educate residents on self-administration of blood glucose monitoring and injections, prescribed medications, self-care, etc, and assist with other basic medical care tasks. Collect samples for lab testing as assigned. Provide emotional and psychological support when needed. Familiarity with infection control, safety and sanitation standards and procedures. Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.

• Knowledge of Point Click Care preferred

Salary:

$30/hr + based on experience

Requirements:

Current and unencumbered Illinois license to practice as a LPN. Current BLS/CPR certification. Ability to work independently. Strong sense of initiative and urgency in addressing patient crises. Electronic charting.
