•Riverway Clinic is looking to hire a Medical Assistant/CMA/RMA/EMT/LPN to join our Primary Care team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Partnership is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members with both internal and external partners. Carry out patient care tasks and medical orders as delegated by physicians, APPs or other health care personnel following the Care Model Process.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer and document medication and clinical procedures according to policy. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Conducts pre-visit planning, visit process, and other Care Model Process workflows. Performs accurate and timely charting to support patient care and service. Obtain health history information. Obtain accurate vital signs, recognize and report variances. Recognize the need for and perform routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting. Accurately document observations, actions and patient outcomes in EMR. Identify patient education needs, provide instruction and pend orders appropriately. Stocks and cleans examination rooms between patients and at end of session. Sterilizes/cleans equipment and instruments. Monitors and requests supplies (or communicates to appropriate staff member) to ensure proper inventory and avoid interruption in service. Complies with applicable legislation such as OSHA and infection control standards. Assists in orientation and training of new personnel as assigned to ensure established procedures are clearly understood and followed. Participates in quality improvement activities. Participates actively in self-development and educational activities. Complies with Code of Conduct and all policies, procedures and standing orders. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, holding themselves accountable.

Customer Service:

Greet patients with a warm welcome and completes interactions with a warm closure. Collaborate in patient care hand-offs insuring patient comfort and safety and continuity of care.

Assure patients' rights to privacy, safety and confidentiality . Respect, embrace and value diversity Project a professional image through appearance, positive attitude and constructive interactions. Honor patient choices/family rights

Teamwork:

Identify and work to resolve problems with other departments and individuals in a constructive manner using Healthy Workplace 1:1 Communication. Focus on solving the problem -- not blaming. Effectively share job knowledge with new employees. Place team goals above own interests.

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Identifies and reports environmental, equipment or patient care risks to supervisor. Corrects and appropriate and completes incident report when indicated.

Required Qualifications:
Education/Experience:

LPN (Current MN License), or CMA Current AAMA Certificate, or RMA Current AMT Certificate, or Medical Assistant Non Certified-completion of an accredited medical assistant program (

Ex:
CAAHEP, ABHES

), or Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT license. CPR Certification required and maintained
