Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work exclusively on Sundays within our senior living community. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced caregivers to provide vital medication administration and resident support in a respectful, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Responsibilities Administer medications accurately and safely according to physician orders and facility protocols. Monitor residents' vital signs, health status, and response to medications or treatments during scheduled shifts. Assist residents with personal care needs, including hygiene, mobility, and daily activities, ensuring dignity and comfort. Maintain detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect resident confidentiality. Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents, and families regarding medication schedules and health concerns. Follow all state healthcare regulations and facility policies related to medication administration and resident safety. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) with current licensure in the state (LIMA not accepted). Must be insulin certified. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems as well a paper medical records is a plus. Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving and resident interaction.
