Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Location:
Yorktown, NY Pay:
Up to $44.25 per hour
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 5 days per week, 8.5-hour shifts

Full-Time HumanHire is partnered with a leading cancer care organization seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join its Yorktown, NY location. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday opportunity with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits starting on day one. Compensation & Benefits Pay up to $44.25 per hour, based on experience Health Insurance on Day 1 Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term Disability Long-Term Disability 401k Plan Paid Time Off 8 Paid Holidays, including 2 floating holidays Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities Update and maintain electronic medical records with current vital signs, patient demographics, medication reconciliation, allergies, and medical diagnoses Manage physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks assigned through the electronic medical record Maintain medical inventory, place supply orders, and stock exam rooms Clean and prepare examination rooms before patient appointments Escort patients to examination rooms and assist with patient flow Provide patients with education regarding medications, disease management, home treatments, and special diets Assist physicians with examinations and procedures Prepare and administer injections under physician direction Perform phlebotomy and collect other laboratory specimens Perform point-of-care laboratory testing Perform EKGs Administer and document medications according to physician orders while following the five rights of medication administration Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established patient safety procedures Provide professional and compassionate care to patients throughout their treatment Requirements Current New York State LPN license BLS certification Previous clinical or outpatient nursing experience Experience working with electronic medical records Strong attention to detail and professional conduct Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills when working with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff Ability to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule Reliable transportation to support patient care needs when required
