! Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for daytime shifts to provide high-quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing patient well-being. As an LPN Days, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and personalized nursing services while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform care plans. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Monitor patients' conditions closely, recognizing signs of acute pain or deterioration and escalating concerns promptly. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring memory or behavioral health management. Support discharge planning and coordinate care with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions across care settings. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while documenting patient information accurately in medical records. Utilize critical thinking skills in triage situations, prioritizing patient needs efficiently in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or urgent care clinics. Skills Proven experience working with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Cerner/eClinicalWorks) and medical documentation standards. Strong background in various clinical areas including long-term care, assisted living, hospice, or hospital medicine; experience in ICU or trauma centers is highly valued. Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator management, and sterile technique. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation and billing processes. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring dementia or memory care. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interactions, client education, and team collaboration within multidisciplinary environments. Ability to perform under pressure in acute care settings such as emergency rooms or Level I trauma centers; experience in pediatric or neonatal units is advantageous. Competency in infection control practices and physical examinations; CPR certification and basic life support (BLS) are mandatory. Pay:
$29.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
