First Shift Responsibilities & Requirements:
The Medical Assistant II supports patient care by performing both clinical and administrative tasks in outpatient and ambulatory care settings. This role assists healthcare providers with patient intake, routine procedures, and documentation, while ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

High school diploma or GED; completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution or equivalent experience as allowed by state law.

Typically two (2) years of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar clinical support role.

Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (e.g., AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA) or equivalent credential as recognized by Kettering Health.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a multi-provider outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
