• Emergency Department | Level I Trauma Center Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring full-time Licensed Practical Nurses for our Emergency Department, home to Hampton Roads' only Level I Trauma Center.

Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift:

hiring for multiple openings, all shifts available Day shift, 7:00 am

• 7:00 pm Second shift, 1:00 pm
• 1:00 am Night shift, 7:00 pm
• 7:00 am

Weekends:

Every other weekend availability required

As part of a Level I Trauma Center, you will work alongside experienced emergency medicine providers, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high-quality care when patients need it most. Nurses in this department gain exposure to complex emergency, trauma, cardiac, stroke, critical care, and specialty cases while building advanced clinical skills in a collaborative environment. Sentara Norfolk General Emergency Department has been recognized with the Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award , honoring exceptional and innovative leadership, practice, education, advocacy, and research . Education Requirements Degree or diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing required Certification/Licensure Requirements LPN license required Experience Requirements Prior LPN experience preferred Emergency Department experience preferred Strong candidates with related acute care, critical care, intermediate care, trauma, cardiac, stroke, or med/surg experience are encouraged to apply Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is the region's first Magnet hospital, a 525-bed medical center, a primary teaching facility, and home to the area's only Level I Trauma Center within a 126-mile region.
