Position Overview:
Texas Panhandle Centers is seeking an LVN/RN in the Children's Clinic (1350) to deliver trauma-informed care and nursing services to youth (ages 3-17) across Amarillo and the surrounding service area of the Texas Panhandle. This role is ideal for human services graduates looking to gain direct clinical experience in a supportive, multi-disciplinary team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful trauma-informed care language. Provide professional psychiatric nursing services for the Outpatient Behavioral Health and Intellectual & Developmental Disability (IDD) units of TPC. Care and treat assigned clients in accordance with accepted nursing and medical standards. Work closely with all TPC treatment team members and community partners to attend to the health needs of clients. Interact with clients in a person-centered, trauma-informed manner, and provides direct services in the area of medication, mental health education, and care coordination. Adhere to TPC Business Code of Conduct and report concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised.
Qualifications & Credentials:
Education & Credentials (Required): High School Diploma or GED and a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license. Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited program and a Registered Nurse (RN) license. Valid LVN or RN license through the Texas State Board of Nursing (TXBN) in current and good standing. Comply with TXBN's rules and regulations to maintain licensure. Valid Texas Driver's License with an insurable driving record. At least 18 years of age. Experience Level Tiering:
LVN I ($40,809.60/yr): Entry Level
  • No experience required. LVN II ($43,305.60/yr): Minimum 1 year of LVN experience. RN ($70,865.60
  • $81,660.
80/yr): Associate or bachelor's degree with RN experience in a recognized health agency, hospital, or health care facility. Graduate-level coursework in a related field may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
