School Nurse LVN Joshua ISD is seeking a compassionate, student-centered LVN to join our Health Services team. Pay is based on number of years of experience. Position Summary The School Nurse promotes student health and wellness by providing skilled nursing care, managing acute and chronic health conditions, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with students, families, staff, and healthcare providers to support student success. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students and staff. Assess and manage illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policy. Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with medical needs. Maintain accurate health records and required documentation. Communicate effectively with parents, physicians, and campus staff. Promote health education and disease prevention. Ensure compliance with state laws, district policies, and nursing standards. Participate in required district training and professional development. Collaborate as part of a supportive district-wide nursing team. Qualifications Current LVN license in good standing. Current CPR certification. Pediatric, emergency, public health, or school nursing experience preferred but not required. Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
