More about our team Our Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients How you'll contribute as a LPN/LVN Essential Functions Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Documents patient care given. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider. Obtains insurance re-authorizations as requested for testing and scheduled procedures. Non-Essential Functions Attends clinic meetings. Maintains a clean and safe working environment. Reports all incidents, hazards, drug interactions, and initiate appropriate action. Completes safety instructional programs. Assists other team members when time permits.
FLSA:
Non-exempt Education:
Graduate of an approved practical nursing program
License:
Current LPN/PN to practice in the Commonwealth of UT OR a compact License with UT endorsement. Also be in good standing with the Board of health
Professions Certifications:
BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer
Minimum Work Experience:
Knowledge of
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
