Job Description

This is an Independent Contractor position compensated on a flat per-service rate of between $30.00 and $35.00 per hour for every completed 60-minute session. Vitalize Med Spa seeks a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional massage therapy services designed to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. Your expertise will help clients achieve their health and wellness goals through personalized treatment plans and professional care. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Provide rejuvenating and relaxing massages to clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Ensure compassionate and professional care for our clients by spreading the light and warmth of hospitality and delivering memorable experiences that generate return clientele. Performs professional quality massage within scope of practice and licensing. Designs specific sessions based on guests individual needs. Assists in the promotion of the health and wellness benefits to clients receiving massage therapy on a regular basis. Creates excellent member/guest experience through friendly and helpful attitude. Performs aroma, hot stone, deep muscle, and/or prenatal therapy, based on appropriate training and minimum clinic education hours to address individual client needs. Utilizes other approved modalities, in accordance with applicable law. Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by the state. Schedule client's appointments using Boulevard. Communicates various promotions to clients. Assists in the cleanliness of the location (therapy rooms and common areas). Completes wellness chart documentation accurately and completely. Maintain client records, including medical histories and treatment plans for seven (7) years. Maintain inventory of office and spa supplies; orders new supplies as needed and relays the order to the Clinical Manager. Collaborate with healthcare professionals when necessary to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Follows all practice policies and protocols. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 500 hours of massage therapy school and a certificate of completion. Physiological knowledge required. Current AZ Massage Therapy License issued by the AZ State Board of Massage Therapy required. Professional Liability (Malpractice) Insurance and General Liability Insurance bundled with Sexual Misconduct Defense and Product Liability Insurance required. At least four (4) years of experience as a professional massage therapist preferred. Knowledge of and experience in performing aroma, hot stone, deep muscle, and/or prenatal massage, as well as knowledge of and experience in performing other modalities preferred. Demonstrated cross sales and customer service skills. Adherence to all applicable local and state licensing laws and regulations related to the massage therapy services provided, including following any applicable law pertaining to maintaining current massage license. Understands, believes, and promotes the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork. Experience working in a med spa environment preferred. Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Teamwork oriented. Good judgment. Resourcefulness in problem solving.
