Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist to join our Sinder Haus team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services aimed at promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires a deep understanding of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to deliver safe and effective treatments tailored to each patient's needs. The therapist will create a welcoming environment that emphasizes exceptional patient service and customer care, contributing to the overall success of our growing luxury day spa. This position will include base compensation plus commission. Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address patient concerns such as pain management and muscle tension. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health conditions and goals. Provide personalized therapy sessions that promote relaxation, improve mobility, and support occupational health. Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, patient progress, and any relevant medical information in compliance with healthcare standards. Educate patients on post-treatment care and recommend additional therapies or lifestyle adjustments as needed. Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all clients by adhering to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines. Stay updated on industry best practices, new techniques, and advancements in massage therapy through ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid license as a Massage Therapist with relevant state certification. Actively practicing, minimum 2 years. Proven experience in patient service, with strong skills in patient assessment and treatment planning. Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles. Prior experience working in a luxury day spa, med spa, or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for diverse clients. Strong communication skills to effectively explain treatments and address patient concerns. Commitment to maintaining professional standards of hygiene, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
