We specialize in therapeutic and wellness-focused massage services designed to help our clients reduce pain and tension, improve mobility, manage stress, and support a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and professional New Jersey Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing team. Recent massage therapy graduates who are licensed in New Jersey are also encouraged to apply. Why Work With Us? Unlike many massage centers where therapists may spend unpaid time waiting between clients, you are paid for every scheduled hour you work. In addition, gratuities are separate from your hourly compensation , with tips commonly averaging approximately $15-$25+ per massage hour , depending on the client. We want our therapists to feel valued, supported, and compensated for their time. Responsibilities As a Licensed Massage Therapist, you will: Create a welcoming, comfortable, safe, and professional environment for every client. Communicate with clients respectfully and professionally. Review client intake forms and conduct appropriate pre-session assessments. Listen to each client's concerns, goals, areas of discomfort, and massage preferences. Assess posture, mobility, and range of motion when appropriate. Develop customized massage sessions based on each client's individual needs. Perform therapeutic massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, stretching, and other appropriate techniques within your scope of practice. Understand massage indications and contraindications and communicate them appropriately to clients. Educate clients about massage therapy, basic anatomy and muscle function, stretching, and appropriate self-care techniques when applicable. Maintain accurate and professional client documentation as required. Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and professional treatment room. Follow all clinic sanitation, safety, and professional conduct standards. Help create a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment. Provide excellent customer service and help build long-term client relationships. Qualifications & Skills Current New Jersey Massage Therapy License required Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology Understanding of massage indications and contraindications Knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology Experience or training in therapeutic massage techniques Proficiency in Swedish massage Proficiency in deep tissue massage Knowledge of trigger point therapy Ability to customize treatments based on individual client needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service Professional, dependable, punctual, and compassionate Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries Willingness to learn additional therapeutic techniques Newly licensed massage therapists are welcome to apply.
