Our patients are referred to us by Houston's top plastic and reconstructive surgeons — you never chase clients. No prior post-operative experience is required. We train you properly, and we pay you while we do it. What we cannot train is character. We are looking for someone reliable, humble, genuinely curious about how the body works, and steady with patients who arrive anxious, swollen, and in pain. How this role starts — please read before applying This position begins as a 1099 independent contractor engagement. It is how we assess long-term fit, and it is how every therapist on our team started. Strong performers convert to a W-2 employee role with the full package below — based on performance and business need, offered in writing, and not automatic. We say this up front because we would rather be honest about the path than surprise you later. Contractors invoice for services, are responsible for their own taxes (W-9 required), and are free to serve other clients during the engagement. What you'll do Deliver manual lymphatic drainage, post-operative recovery treatments, and our other specialized modalities using the clinic's protocol Provide attentive, personalized care to patients at every stage of recovery Recognize post-surgical warning signs and escalate immediately — you will be trained on exactly what to watch for, and stopping to escalate is always protected and expected Document each service accurately, including progress and anything that needs follow-up Keep your treatment room clean, stocked, and ready between patients Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA standards at all times What we need Current Texas Massage Therapy license (required) Working understanding of anatomy and physiology; college coursework in anatomy or physiology is preferred, not required Collaborative and coachable, with real intellectual curiosity about the work Able to follow a clinical protocol precisely and consistently Discretion with patient information and a clear understanding of privacy expectations in a medical setting High school diploma or equivalent (required) Spanish proficiency is a plus, not a requirement What we provide during the contract period $27.00 per documented service hour, paid bi-weekly.
