SUMMARY The Massage Therapist will provide guests with massage and body treatment services in a safe and professional manner and in compliance with state laws and the Code of Ethics of the American Massage Therapy Association.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have a current WV license certification in massage therapy and bodywork Embrace and promote Oglebay's philosophy, programs, culture, and high expectations to deliver Legendary Customer Service Anticipate, identify, and ensure guest needs are being met in the best possible way Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations Perform professional massage services while utilizing various techniques Must be able to do all services within their designated license. This currently includes, but is not limited to the following: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Stone/Bamboo Massage, and Pregnancy Massage Responsible in assisting in the promotion of The West Spa through working trade shows/special events or performing chair massages Continually monitors trends in the Spa industry and presents new ideas and suggestions to the Lead Massage Therapist Maintain inventory of all products necessary to perform massage therapy and body treatments; notify the Lead Massage Therapist of equipment status and supply needs Maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times Increase revenue through the sales of spa related skincare and body products Maintain familiarity of all personal services and any revisions in the skincare products or procedures. Assist with all areas of the spa when not scheduled for an appointment. Maintain familiarity of all spa and resort activities, services and products. Ensure the Massage Treatment rooms are staged for maximum guest impact. Attends training seminars, conferences, schools and meetings as directed to continually develop personal knowledge of Spa operations. Works flexible schedule based on guest demand including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Complete appropriate trainings listed on the human resources Training Matrix Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission's safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years experience in a professional massage therapy environment, Resort Spa experience a plus.
