Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Urodynamics Technician to join our busy outpatient clinic. This role is key to maintaining efficient patient flow and performing urodynamic testing. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well as part of a clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform urodynamic testing and accurately document findings in the EMR (Allscripts) Communicate test results and updates to providers as needed Assist with urology and urogynecology procedures, including cystoscopies, bladder Botox,urethral bulking, and pelvic floor injections Perform catheterizations under aseptic conditions Collect and label urologic specimens; deliver to laboratory Take vital signs, collect specimens, and perform point-of-care testing Schedule appointments, labs, and verify or reschedule as needed Evaluate daily patient schedule for changes or adjustments Operate, calibrate, and maintain urodynamic equipment; contact vendor support as needed Prepare instruments and supplies; follow all cleaning and disinfection protocols Maintaindetailed equipment logs, quality control records, and lab statistics Provide compassionate careand clear communication to patients throughout procedures Assist with patient mobility asneeded Stay informed of current urodynamic methods and act as a resource to the team Perform additional tasks as directed by management Required Education & Qualifications Medical Assistant, LPN, or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow clinical protocols and multitask efficiently
  • Professional, compassionate communication with patients and team members
  • Familiarity with aseptic techniques, standard precautions, and urodynamic equipment
  • Critical thinking and responsiveness in fast-paced situations Working Conditions Outpatient clinical setting (day shift) Occasional travel to satellite offices may be required Training period: 2-4 months, depending on prior experience
