Full Job Description Medical Assistant Job Title:

LOCATION
Requires travel between offices in Bakersfield & Delano 3 of 5 days per week at this time Basic Function To assist Physicians and patients with processes needed for office visits, including proper testing, detail oriented documentation, and charting of information, as per office protocols. Responsibilities 1. Ensure the flow and efficient turnover of exam rooms. 2. Maintain exam rooms in a neat and clean manner at all times. 3. Comply with patient needs at all times. 4. Escort patients from waiting room to examination rooms. 5. Intake and notate patients complete medical history and purpose for office visist. 6. Ensure patient charts contain all pertinent information and are placed in designated areas for Physicians' use. 7. Alert Physicians of patients' allergies prior to beginning exams. 8. Assist Physicians with testing, injections, and/or other procedures as necessary. 9. Monitor supply levels, and replace as needed, and notify management for re-order as necessary. 10. Instruct patients regarding information needed once they leave the office to include: - medication usage, pre-op instructions, & informed consent for surgery and description of disease processes 11. Proper documentation and coding of all medical documents. 12. Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations. 13. Perform other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
2+ years of experience in ophthalmology practice.
