This is a per diem/casual, non-benefited position located at Scripps Coastal Medical Center Carlsbad, working 8-hour shifts on weekdays. No weekends or evenings required. Training will be full time for ~4 weeks but may vary depending on the individual. The ideal candidate will work 2 days/week after training has been completed, as well as the business day before and/or after certain holidays. Your job duties:

Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
