We are currently accepting applications for a Medical Assistant/Receptionist with experience in Endocrinology to join our team. Our hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Medical Assistant/Receptionist duties will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner
- Documenting patient chief complaints in electronic medical record
- Coordinating care and completing tasks as directed by physicians
- Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed
- Giving vaccinations/injections, performing Vitals, A1c's
- Scheduling follow up appointments/Chart prepping for the next day
- Downloading insulin pump data Requirements
- At least one year experience as a medical assistant preferably in an Endocrinology setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Electronic Medical Records proficiency; Cerner preferred
- The desire to work in a fast paced environment
- The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing
Educational Requirement:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Medical Assistant diploma; certificate strongly preferred
- A valid CPR card
