Job Description

Job Summary Glendora Canyon is a 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in Glendora.
Shift:
Part-time in the AM and willing to work weekends as needed . We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate patient medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and health information management standards. Your proactive approach will support clinical staff by organizing, retrieving, and safeguarding sensitive health information efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through meticulous records management and excellent customer service. Responsibilities Organize, file, and maintain comprehensive medical records in accordance with health information management protocols. Retrieve and provide patient records promptly to authorized personnel, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Update electronic health records (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) with new data, test results, and treatment notes. Ensure compliance with all healthcare privacy protection policies and medical confidentiality standards during record handling. Assist in coding medical records accurately using appropriate medical terminology and coding systems for billing and documentation purposes. Experience Familiarity with EHR systems, Point Clik Care knowleged is preferred, and Microsoft Office applications for documentation purposes. Knowledge of health information regulatory compliance standards such as HIPAA or equivalent privacy laws. Understanding of medical terminology, medical coding practices, and clinical confidentiality policies. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
Pay:
$17.00 - $17.81 per hour
