Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and providers, ensuring smooth clinic operations through efficient administrative support. Responsibilities Manage appointment scheduling for patients, coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize daily workflows. Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and directing inquiries appropriately. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by entering patient data efficiently and securely. Assist with health insurance verification, claims processing, and third-party billing to support revenue cycle management. Facilitate internal communication among staff members to ensure timely updates on patient status and administrative needs. Perform data entry tasks related to patient demographics, insurance details, and appointment logs with precision. Support the clinic's revenue cycle by managing insurance claims, follow-ups, and collections as needed. Qualifications Proven administrative experience within a healthcare setting or medical office environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication tasks. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, managed care policies, and third-party billing procedures. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems . Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and documentation. Experience with schedule management and internal communication tools to coordinate appointments and team activities. Requirements & Skills Minimum 2 years of medical office administration experience Physical Therapy office experience a plus Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
