We are a busy, well established pediatric practice located in Cheshire, Connecticut, dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to children and their families. We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and personable Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children and thrives in a fast paced, team oriented environment. The ideal candidate is someone who communicates well, takes initiative, stays organized, and is comfortable balancing both clinical and administrative responsibilities throughout the day.
Responsibilities include:
Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs Preparing patients for examinations and assisting physicians as needed Performing in office testing and laboratory procedures Accurately documenting patient information in the electronic health record Assisting with patient phone calls and scheduling Verifying insurance information Scanning and maintaining patient documentation Supporting physicians and other members of the clinical team with daily patient care needs Assisting with additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as needed This is a full time position, approximately 4 to 5 days per week. Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with evening hours until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Candidates must be available to participate in a rotation of evening and Saturday hours. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills who works well as part of a team and is committed to providing a positive experience for our patients and families. Previous experience in a medical office or pediatric setting is preferred, with two or more years of experience considered a plus.
