StayWell Health Center seeks: A positive, caring, and motivated Certified / Registered Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA) who works quickly and efficiently and is able to multi-task well.

The successful Medical Assistant must:

be comfortable with direct patient care to a diverse population "Float" between our pediatrics and adult internal medicine departments be able to work collaboratively in a team approach providing outstanding medical care to our patients demonstrate good reasoning and decision-making skills Some of the responsibilities of this Certified Medical Assistant position include: Obtain patient medical history and perform/record vital signs Stock and clean exam rooms Complete Electronic Health Record requirements for state and federal compliance

Required:

High School diploma or equivalent Current, unrestricted Medical Assistant Certification / Registration , current PPD testing result and immunizations , and current CPR certification Must be available to work 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM; occasional evening and weekend hours are required Travel to all StayWell sites in Waterbury and Naugatuck is required Consistent, reliable transportation required between StayWell sites throughout the Greater Waterbury area

Preferred:

Minimum one year prior community health care or medical outpatient care experience ; willing to train qualified/motivated candidate Electronic Health Record experience Verbal and written bilingual (English-Spanish or English-Albanian) skills a plus
