This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients throughout their treatment experience, including patients receiving Spravato. Because many of our patients spend extended time with us during treatment, our Medical Assistants are an important part of making their experience feel safe, comfortable, and supported. We're looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, attentive, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare and support patients before, during, and after treatment Obtain and document vital signs Monitor patients during treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the clinical team Assist nurses and providers with treatments and patient care Prepare treatment rooms, medications, equipment, and clinical supplies as appropriate Complete accurate documentation in the electronic health record Maintain clean, organized, stocked, and patient-ready treatment areas Follow established clinical, safety, HIPAA, and infection-prevention protocols Support the clinical team with additional patient care and treatment room responsibilities as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Current CPR/BLS certification required Medical Assistant certification preferred Previous Medical Assistant or clinical experience preferred Experience obtaining and documenting vital signs preferred Mental health or behavioral health experience is a plus, but not required Experience with electronic health records preferred About Peaceful Minds Peaceful Minds Treatment Center is an outpatient mental health practice in Waterbury, Connecticut.
