Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health record (EHR) systems Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Support clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound dressing changes, and basic life support (BLS) procedures Conduct diagnostic procedures including EKG p Manage medical documentation with precision, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas, equipment, and supplies to uphold safety standards Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in settings such as Primary CareKnowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and pharmacology relevant to Primary Care Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like EHR systems proficiency or radiology support are a plus Familiarity with hospital experience protocols at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence in outpatient setting.
