South Florida Dermatology is a busy general dermatology practice with 2 office locations: Coral Gables (primary) and West Kendall. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to immediately join our team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the dermatologist with procedures and providing an exceptional patient experience. Qualified candidates MUST have at least 5 (five) years of medical assisting experience ( preferred dermatology ) and be familiar with general dermatology procedures, medical record, taking notes, EMR - MODMED EMA Software and phlebotomy. Only candidates who are pleasant, outgoing, and have a confident personality should apply. You must be comfortable dealing with a high volume patient load. The candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and have strong customer service skills and attention to detail. A professional and polished appearance is required. We offer flexible schedule to work from 8 am to 6:00 pm if needed and some Saturdays. Please provide resume, cover letter, salary requirements, and prior business references

5 years (in Dermatology) Current Medical Assistant License At least 5 years of dermatology experience is a must in this fast-paced environment Experience supporting multi-provider practice Knowledge of dermatology terminology. Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, providers and co-workers in a courteous and compassionate manner! Provide patients with pre/post-treatment instructions You will verify completeness of medical record by reviewing previous visits or chart documentation, and review with provider before treatments are done Communicate with patient and/supporting staff to coordinate patient flow Turnover and prepare treatment rooms as needed
