Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support in outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring smooth operations across various medical specialties including dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and geriatrics. Duties Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, patient intake, blood draw, and assisting with procedures in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings. Conduct phlebotomy and medication administration with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories, medical records, ICD coding, and treatment notes. Support patient service activities including scheduling appointments, answering questions, and providing compassionate care tailored to diverse populations such as geriatrics or trauma patients. Assist healthcare providers with anatomy and physiology knowledge during examinations or procedures in high-acuity environments like Level I or Level II trauma centers. Maintain medical documentation compliance by updating records, managing EMR/EHR systems efficiently, and ensuring proper medical records management. Support hospital medicine teams by performing intake assessments, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with inpatient procedures such as OR or emergency medicine interventions. Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to dermatology, urgent care, or emergency medicine preferred. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management. Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation standards. Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS). Prior inpatient or outpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Familiarity with hospital medicine procedures including OR assistance or geriatric patient care enhances your candidacy. $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
