Position Overview The Medical Assistant/Neuro Technician provides comprehensive clinical support to ensure efficient, high quality patient care across neurology, spine, and vestibular service lines. This role supports providers, therapists, and clinical operations by assisting with patient preparation, clinical procedures, diagnostic testing, therapeutic services, and daily workflow coordination. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to deliver compassionate patient care while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations. Essential Responsibilities & Duties Clinical Patient Care Support Travel between clinic locations as part of routine clinical operations and patient care support. Prepare patients for provider evaluations, procedures, and diagnostic services. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medication information, and other relevant clinical data. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and clinical workflows. Perform clinical tasks within the Medical Assistant scope of practice. Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure exam rooms are prepared, stocked, and maintained according to clinical standards. Provide patient education and instructions as directed by providers or clinical leadership. Diagnostic & Vestibular Services Assist with vestibular diagnostic testing, including patient preparation and equipment setup. Perform and support vestibular assessments under provider or clinical supervision. Perform VNG (Videonystagmography) testing and related vestibular evaluations. Document test results and patient responses accurately and promptly. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality of vestibular equipment. Therapeutic & Specialty Service Support Assist with prescribed therapeutic services, including vestibular therapy and exercise with oxygen therapy Prepare patients and equipment for therapy sessions. Monitor patient tolerance and promptly report concerns to clinical staff. Support safe and effective delivery of patient care services. Clinical Operations Support Assist providers and clinical teams with daily patient flow and operational needs. Coordinate with front office staff to support efficient scheduling and patient transitions. Communicate patient needs, concerns, and workflow issues to leadership. Participate in quality improvement and process optimization initiatives. Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements. Equipment & Safety Responsibilities Operate and maintain clinical equipment according to training and guidelines. Follow safety protocols related to patient care, equipment uses, and clinical procedures. Assist with maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient care activities for extended periods. Ability to assist patients with mobility needs when appropriate. Ability to lift and move clinical supplies and equipment as required. Ability to perform duties in a clinical environment.
