Full job description Medical Assistant Arch Orthopedic & Spine - Watkinsville, GA Arch Orthopedic & Spine is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing orthopedic practice. We are looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment where teamwork, communication, and excellent patient care are priorities. This position will be based primarily in our Watkinsville office , but may include occasional travel to our Loganville location based on staffing and patient-care needs. Strong communication is essential in this role. Our Medical Assistants work closely with patients, providers, and fellow staff throughout the day, and we value team members who communicate clearly, stay organized, and are willing to adapt as clinic needs change. Responsibilities Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for their visit Obtain and accurately document patient histories and clinical information Perform X-rays as needed Prepare exam and procedure rooms between patients Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures Document patient visits accurately in the electronic medical record Coordinate imaging, referrals, and follow-up appointments Communicate provider instructions and treatment plans to patients Process medication refill requests and other clinical documentation Maintain exam room supplies and ensure clinical areas remain clean and organized Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and fellow staff Work closely with providers and team members to maintain efficient patient flow Assist with other clinical and administrative needs as appropriate Work at both the Watkinsville and Loganville offices based on staffing and patient-care needs Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Reliable attendance and punctuality Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing schedules and practice needs Willingness to work at both our Watkinsville and Loganville locations Strong commitment to providing excellent patient care Ability to take initiative, accept feedback, and work collaboratively with the team Preferred Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience X-ray experience or appropriate certification/eligibility to perform X-rays Orthopedic or other specialty practice experience Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR)
Schedule Full-time Monday-Thursday:
8:00 AM-5:00
PM Friday:
