Job Description
Looking for a part time medical assistant for a busy three doctor podiatry practice. This would be a perfect option for students taking a gap year from studies who are interested in the healthcare field. No experience with podiatry required, but certainly appreciated. Candidates must be punctual, reliable, detail oriented, and friendly. Cooperation and teamwork are valued as a high priority. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for streamlining patient care from the waiting room to check out, by assisting both the doctors and the patients. Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Organize and schedule appointments as needed Arrange surgery scheduling, MRI, and laboratory services Check with patients and type up patient reports. Assist during medical in office procedures. Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Skills Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in patient management software You will gain Proven working experience as a medical assistant. Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Proficiency in patient management software
