Our tech-enabled urgent cares are designed to help busy individuals get better fast with renewed energy and clarity. Our advanced primary cares are designed to serve as a medical hub (with behavioral and dietary health services) for individuals to live healthy. We are launching new locations this year and looking for long-term, high-energy providers to join our team. What are we looking for? truHealthNow Primary & Urgent Care has an immediate need for caring, experienced, certified, Medical Assistants to join our growing clinical team in Germantown, Maryland.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for performing duties related to the clinical area: taking patient vitals, assisting physicians as requested, performing and assisting with all duties related to laboratory testing and specimen collection, and assisting with front office and administrative tasks as requested. 1. Performs and assists with all duties related to patient care. 2. Performs and assists with all duties related to laboratory testing and specimen collection. 3. Maintains appropriate manuals, logs, filing systems, and other communications regarding radiology and laboratory. 4. Ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA and State of Virginia mandates and regulations. 5. Obtains continuing education units to maintain qualifications. 6. Performs and assists with EKGs. 7. Performs BAT and urine drug screens.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Medical Assistant Certification. 2. Experience as a medical assistant in a physician office setting or ambulatory care setting; minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience is required. 3. Acquired phlebotomy skills and knowledge of various specimen collection techniques. 4. Thorough knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA and State of Virginia Radiological protocol and procedures. 5. Certification in BLS. 6. Excellent interpersonal skills, effective verbal communication and writing skills. 7. Customer service-oriented attitude and behavior.
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
