Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are a BUSY Ear Nose Throat specialty office looking to add a clinical Medical Assistant to our team! Hours are approximately 30+ hours a week, depending on physician schedules.
Skills:
Reliable, patient care oriented, able to prioritize and multi-task, quick and proficient, takes pride in work, team player, friendly.Requirements:
- Prefer 1+ year clinical and/or medical assistant experience
- Prior experience with EMR/EHR (we use ModMed)
- Familiar with visit/procedure coding (CPT) and understanding diagnoses (ICD)
- Must be able to type quickly and have excellent spelling/grammar/punctuation
- Interested in a career, not just a job
Job Responsibilities:
- Room patients, take medical history and create the HPI for visit
- Chart and assist physician while in rooms with patients
- Scribing for physician
- Sterilization of equipment (cold & autoclave)
- Prep for in-office procedures as well as obtain consents
- Provide instructions to patients
- Pull reports and imaging from portals
- Restock and clean patient rooms throughout the day
- Package biopsies for processing This position is part-time (around 30-35 hours), with the potential to be full-time.
