Job Overview We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Candidates with inpatient or hospital experience, familiarity with ICD coding, pharmacology knowledge, and proficiency in EMR/EHR systems are highly desirable. Responsibilities Conduct patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs accurately Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures in various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for laboratory testing Support medication administration following established protocols and safety standards Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems Ensure proper documentation of patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and procedural notes in compliance with healthcare regulations Support clinical workflows by managing appointment scheduling, patient follow-up communications, and insurance documentation Assist with hospital or inpatient procedures when necessary, including OR support or inpatient charting Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions professionally and ensuring a comfortable environment Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient care delivery Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program Prior experience in medical office settings; experience in dermatology, internal medicine, hospital medicine, or urgent care preferred Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards Ability to perform phlebotomy and basic life support (BLS) certification required Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation Excellent communication skills focused on patient service excellence Inpatient or hospital experience is advantageous; familiarity with hospital procedures or OR support is a plus This position is an integral part of our healthcare delivery team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through professionalism and clinical expertise.
