About us Kaminsky Podiatry group is a small business in Florissant, MO. with a second location at St. Lukes in Chesterfield, MO. We are fast-paced, professional, customer-centric and our goal is to To provide the best medical and surgical care to our patients with foot and ankle problems. . A Medical Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of administrative, support and patient-care activities. You will assist doctors in various procedures and help provide high-quality patient care. As a medical assistant, you should be detail-oriented and efficient, as well as have a good aptitude for learning new things. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with patients and possess a great bedside manner. It's important to communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, health care professionals and staff. Ultimately, your duties are to ensure that all medical processes are operated in a smooth fashion to ensure high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Record patients' medical history (e.g. personal, family, health related and insurance information) to ensure the safety of the patient and all other workers . Gather and prepare materials for examination, treatment, procedures and tests (e.g. passing of instruments and equipment, sterile dressings.) in compliance with standards of care. Communicate with colleagues to ensure patient's safety and comfort during examination/procedure. Answer phone calls and take messages for doctor. Undertake administrative tasks such as filing documents, reviewing records and scheduling appointments. Perform routine clerical tasks (e.g. photocopying, mailing documents etc.) to maintain organization. Notify patients of drug interactions if they have presented with multiple medications to avoid adverse reactions . Maintain cleanliness around the office by cleaning equipment/materials and keeping the environment neat, tidy and sanitary.
