About us We are a privately owned practice. Our employees have long standing tenures with our company and have very little turn over in positions. We are adding to our team due to the growth of our practice. We are team oriented and our patients are our priority.
Position:
Medical Assistant Job Description:
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Columbus Urology Clinic in Columbus, MS. Must be detail-oriented, teamwork driven, have a genuine desire to assist patients and have excellent computer skills.
Duties:
Prepares patients for health care visits and enters assessment data into EMR correctly. Places patients in exam room for provider evaluation. Obtains medical and social history. Assists providers during examination and treatment. Works daily tasks, clerical and/or telephone. Takes vital signs and performs all ancillary tests appropriate to skill level, certifications and state regulations. Performs testing and tasks as ordered by the physician (urinalysis, bladder scans, cystoscopy, blood draws and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Must demonstrate excellent customer service. Must have reliable transportation Basic computer skills necessary for data entry and documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other staff members.
