Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Our start-up pediatric practice is seeking a versatile and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in a dual role - providing both front desk administrative support and back office clinical care. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our medical office, ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and administrative support. Responsibilities Greet patients and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment. Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting personal information and medical history. Measure and record vital signs accurately. Immunization administration and inventory management Perform all patient testing Assist healthcare providers with patient care tasks as needed. Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility for services. Ensure compliance with medical regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Skills and Experience Familiarity with medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling and patient service. Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) protocols. Experience working in a Pediatric Office is preferred. Understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medication administration. Proficiency in using EHR systems to document patient interactions effectively.
