Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive clinical and administrative support across various medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, accurate medical documentation, and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support when necessary. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, treatment plans, and ICD coding. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical records. Assist physicians with procedures in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or specialized settings such as PICU or OR environments. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining confidentiality of patient information. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in emergency medicine, geriatrics, internal medicine, or trauma centers to deliver seamless patient care. Maintain proficiency in pharmacology knowledge relevant to medication administration and patient treatment plans. Support billing processes through accurate medical documentation and coding.
Requirements:
1-2 years of current Medical Assistant experience Certification required and must be in hand Active AHA BLS Previous travel experience highly preferred Current license/certifications at time of submission
Shift Timings :
8:00 AM - 05:00 PM Weekly schedule : 40 Hrs. per week HC1

$28.00 per hour
