Medical Assistant — Aesthetic & Wellness Practice $18-$26/hr | Full-Time | East Brunswick & Marlboro, NJ

ABOUT TKI & THIS ROLE

The Kaga Institute of Medicine & Aesthetics (TKI) is a physician-led medical, aesthetic, and wellness practice serving patients throughout Central New Jersey. Our practice combines internal medicine, wellness, regenerative medicine, aesthetic treatments, and personalized patient care in a modern, professional environment. We are seeking a Medical Assistant who is compassionate, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical and aesthetic setting. This role goes beyond traditional medical assisting. The ideal candidate will support providers with clinical care, assist with aesthetic and wellness services, help prepare patients for treatments, and contribute to an exceptional patient experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Prepare patients for medical, wellness, and aesthetic appointments Take and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other patient information Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available Assist with aesthetic and cosmetic procedures as directed by the provider Support services such as injectables, laser treatments, skin treatments, IV therapy, wellness services, and other procedures as trained and permitted Assist with patient intake, treatment preparation, and post-treatment instructions Perform blood draws, injections, specimen collection, and other clinical duties within scope of practice Maintain accurate patient charts, treatment notes, and documentation in the EMR Assist with medication preparation and inventory management as directed by the provider Maintain proper sterilization, sanitation, and infection-control procedures Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable safety and regulatory standards Prepare, clean, and maintain clinical and aesthetic treatment areas Monitor and restock medical and aesthetic supplies Assist providers during patient consultations and procedures Educate patients on treatment preparation, aftercare, and general wellness recommendations as directed by the provider Provide a warm, professional, and personalized experience throughout each patient visit Assist with patient flow and help keep appointments running efficiently Communicate effectively with front desk, providers, and other team members Support office events, promotions, and patient outreach initiatives when needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred CMA, CCMA, or related certification is a plus Experience in an aesthetic, cosmetic, dermatology, plastic surgery, wellness, or medical practice is highly preferred Phlebotomy experience is a plus Strong knowledge of basic clinical procedures, medical terminology, and patient care Comfortable working around aesthetic procedures and cosmetic treatments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional, polished, and patient-focused demeanor Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team Willingness to learn new aesthetic treatments, technologies, and procedures Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Must be comfortable providing a high level of customer service in a luxury medical environment
