This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and hospital medicine. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms. Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, medical records, and treatment plans. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism. Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to facilitate billing and insurance processing. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards. Requirements Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding. Hands-on experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or inpatient environments such as PICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Skilled in EMR/EHR systems management along with proficiency in medical documentation and records management. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse populations. Familiarity with phlebotomy techniques, medication administration protocols, and vital signs monitoring. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings such as emergency departments or outpatient clinics while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience supporting geriatrics, internal medicine patients or working within hospital or clinic environments is advantageous.
