Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms thoroughly Perform phlebotomy procedures and collect laboratory specimens following safety protocols Support physicians with procedures such as medication administration, wound care, or minor surgical tasks Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting patient encounters precisely and efficiently Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-visit instructions Assist with medical documentation, coding (ICD), and maintaining accurate medical records Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a clean clinical environment Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient settings to optimize patient care Experience Candidates should demonstrate a minimum of two years of relevant medical experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or specialty practices like dermatology or internal medicine. Prior experience working within Level I Trauma Centers or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and proficiency in medical terminology are essential.

Additional qualifications include:

MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Knowledge of pharmacology principles related to medication administration Experience with hospital medicine procedures or inpatient care workflows Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices Ability to perform venipuncture (phlebotomy) accurately and efficiently Experience supporting both inpatient and outpatient services across diverse populations including geriatrics Competence in managing electronic health records (EHR), documentation standards, and medical records management If you are committed to delivering high-quality patient service while supporting clinical operations through your expertise in medical assisting roles, we encourage you to apply today.
