The Bilingual Orthopedic Medical Assistant supports orthopedic providers by managing both clinical and administrative duties. You will translate for patients and doctors, prep exam rooms, record vital signs, and assist with minor orthopedic procedures. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to ensure clear communication for a diverse patient population. Clinical Duties Greet and escort patients to exam rooms. Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories. Act as a live medical interpreter in English and Spanish during doctor-patient consultations and exams. Assist orthopedic providers with joint casting, splinting, and minor in-office procedures. Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and treatment rooms between visits. Fit and instruct patients on the proper use of durable medical equipment (DME) such as braces, crutches, and boots. Administrative Duties Answer incoming phone calls, schedule patient follow-ups, and manage high call volumes. Enter and update patient health records accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software. Coordinate external referrals for physical therapy, diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRIs), or surgical consultations. Verify insurance authorizations for specialized orthopedic procedures and surgeries

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience working in an outpatient clinic
