Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for procedures Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, EHR/EHR management, and basic life support procedures Support patient care through accurate medical documentation, ICD coding, and maintaining detailed medical records Manage administrative responsibilities including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and insurance verification Facilitate communication between patients and providers by answering questions and providing education on treatments or medications Maintain compliance with hospital standards, including Level I Trauma Center protocols, inpatient/outpatient procedures, and emergency medicine practices Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and EMR/EHR systems Hands-on experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments preferred Strong skills in patient service, intake procedures, vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, and medication administration Knowledge of ICD coding, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records management Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings such as inpatient units like PICU or Geriatrics clinics Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in hospital or OR experience are a plus Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment.
